Return of traditional bingo to St Ann's

ST ANN'S: Traditional 'booklet and dabber' bingo has returned to St Ann's following demand from customers.

The electronic handsets used by big bingo chains have now been removed from Gala in St Ann's Well Road.

The handsets allow customers to play lots of games at the same time – but some older customers have difficulty mastering them.

Manager Kelli Dawson said: "Our customers have been telling us for some time that they prefer the paper-only bingo, so it made sense to do something about it."

Gala believes the St Ann's club is the only major one in the UK to use only booklets and dabbers.
