Forrester: Notts deserved to beat Brentford
The veteran striker insisted Notts dominated and were unlucky to fall behind in the first half.
He said: "There is a tinge of disappointment in the camp because we played well again but haven't got the three points.
"We didn't deserve to be 1-0 down at half-time. We played a lot of good stuff to get back into the game but just couldn't get that second goal to win it.
"I thought we were the better side in both halves on the balance of play.
"Their keeper made a couple of good saves and we hit the post through Jamie Clapham. On another day it could have been very different.
"They got a goal and we responded quite well, although it was a controversial penalty decision. I thought we deserved to be level and we did all we could to try to win the game after that.
"But we will take a lot from the game. We passed the ball well and I am sure if we can keep playing like that more wins will follow."
It was the second time this season Forrester has successfully converted from the penalty spot – for his fourth league goal of the season.
"Their keeper was trying to take as long as he could. You have just got to hit the target and hope he dives the wrong way," he said.
