Boxing: Ricky Hatton at Harvey Hadden

Wednesday, August 20, 2008, 08:15

BOXING fans will have the chance to see world champion Ricky Hatton in action at Harvey Hadden Leisure Centre on September 5.

Sadly, he is not fighting, but he will be working in brother Matthew's corner.

The new working class hero, fighting bin-man Rendall Munroe, tops the Sky bill in a European title defence against Arsen Martirosian.

Nottingham's Jason Booth is not on the bill. He is unlikely to fight again until October, probably in a Commonwealth title defence at Wigan.

The show is heading for a sell-out. All the £65 ringside seats have been snapped up and there are only a handful of £35 tickets left. Call 08712261508.

John Fewkes v Martin Gethin (English lightweight title); Scott Haywood v Nigel Wright (English light-welterweight title); Matthew Hatton v Scott Woolford; Kevin Hammond v Lester Walsh; Adie Whitmore v Mark Nielsen; Liam Anthony v Said Ally; Tyrone Nurse v Baz Care.
