Billy Davies hopes video evidence will maintain form

BILLY Davies has spent four days of the international break compiling a DVD he hopes will help maintain Nottingham Forest's run of form.

The Scot frequently uses video footage to educate his players on the good and bad points of their performances.

And he has spent hours producing another DVD on his home editing suite, which he hopes will help the Reds extend their run of three wins when table-topping Newcastle visit the City Ground on Saturday.

"I do it all the time. I spend a lot of time analysing and assessing not just our own team but the teams we have played against," he said.

"I like to look at the set-plays they have worked on and the tactical changes they have made.

"I haven't done any training, I just went and bought the video editing suite.

"It is very time consuming, but it is worthwhile."

Davies says the idea is to make sure Forest are always as prepared as possible.

"We do lots of different things, we just do what we can," he said. "We would like to think we are hard-working, organised and disciplined. But there is no right and wrong in football, it is all only opinion."

Forest striker Robert Earnshaw faces a month out of action with a calf injury.
