“Well said rdc - one of the main causes of the financial problems at the moment is people increasing personal debt by using increasing equity on their properties caused by the speculators.
Of course, you can't really -blame- anyone for doing that really, it's all 'in the rules'.
But when D-Day comes and the credit is no longer there, many people will be up faeces creek without a paddle as spending power falls to negligible levels.”

“Bargain hunting out of necessity is one thing... doing it because you're motivated by pointless materialism and greed is another. It's obscene that any shop such as Next should open at 6am on Boxing Day.
The Chamber of Commerce shouts for cutbacks elsewhere but eggs consumers on to get further into debt. Incredible.”
