“So, just to sum up. smshogun, donning his usual "trust me, I'm a legal expert" persona, pontificated that a legal case "CANNOT rely upon CCTV evidence alone to identify an offender," with, as usual, no evidence to support this claim.
I pointed out that this was complete nonsense, and as independent support quoted a police force who stated quite clearly that such evidence could be sufficient with the proviso that its "quality and detail should be sufficient to enable the identity of a subject to be established beyond reasonable doubt. This is the standard of evidence required for a prosecution that relies entirely on CCTV footage." (here's the link again just to prove I wasn't making it up: http://tinyurl.com/aa6y9c3)
And smshogun then blustered that "If you actually read the legislation it makes it very clear what can and cannot be used in court," but, surprise surprise, failed to provide any statement as to what legislation he was referring to, or any relevant quote, that would allow anyone to assess the validity of his claim.
It's almost as if he was a silly fantasist who likes to try and give the impression that he has some understanding of the law, but is so dim that he couldn't even get the basic facts straight. let alone know when to stop digging when he had been caught out on yet another of his invented legal opinions.”

“Too many.
We are being watched and listened to everywhere we go. If twenty five years ago the governing powers announced that we would all be obliged to carry devices which allow our movements to be traced and in addition would allow the interception of the communication we make privately with others there would be outrage. If such a thing was proposed today there would be outrage by those keen to maintain our civil liberties in the face of this totalitarian oppression. And yet..
"Then we get the old overused chestnut "if you've got nothing to hide then you've got nothing to worry about", what tosh, if anyone has nothing to hide then theres no reason to monitor them in the first place." Super comment smshogun.

“Ted
I don't think you would be behaving in a particularly suspicious manner when you are parking your car or your bike. I guess it depends on how you park them.”
