“ I went for a fantastic Sunday lunch, taking advantage of the restaurant's three course deal for about £17, which is actually quite good value considering the quality of the food and the variety of the starters. The restaurant itself is fun, with light fittings made of kitchen utensils and wine bottles decorating the walls. Instead of just normal Sunday lunch fare, the starters were unique, especially the fish cakes and the extensive cheese board - with Tom Brown's own chutney! With the river nearby this is the perfect place to take family members who are visiting and will definitely be a hit with my mum. ”

“I had parked in the car park opposite Tom Browns many times when taking a walk along the Trent and had always thought I wouldn't mind trying it out.
A few weeks ago we finally went for Sunday lunch and it was truly outstanding. The set menu was a little steep, at close to £19 for three courses, but it actually turned out to be worth every penny.
The starter was one of the best I have had in years, a crispy duck egg with bacon, sausage and black pudding was truly outstanding.
The roast dinner itself came with pink beef, which won me over completely. This place is outstanding. Not cheap, but worth a visit every now and then when you are feeling flush!”

“Tom Browns is such a good find. Set next to the lovely river in Gunthorpe it is a nice place to come after a sunny stroll - but also worth making the visit for in the evening for dinner. I have eaten there about twice and never had a bad dinner - it has a good wine list too!”
