“ Mogal was the first restaurant my husband an I went to after we moved from Germany to Nottingham. Even after all these years it is still the only Indian restaurant we visit on a regular basis. This friendly family run establishment always makes us feel at home! And yes, to us it is the best curry in town in a warm, relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Thank you very much for looking after us in these last few years! ”

Mogal E Azam is a family run authentic Indian restaurant in Nottingham. Situated in the heart of the city, with the Theatre Royal and Rock City being our neighbours, we are as vibrant and welcoming as the city itself.
Our long established Nottingham Indian restaurant has been established since 1974 and as soon as you walk through our door, it is easy to see why. You are greeted by friendly staff and traditional decor which has made Mogal E Azam a firm favourite with diners throughout the years.
Our team of chefs are waiting to introduce you to the delicious cuisine of the Bengal and Northern Indian regions. All our dishes are freshly prepared and infused with only the finest spices. You may prefer dishes which are delicate and aromatic or hot and fiery, so here at Mogal E Azam our extensive menu caters for all palates. We also offer house specialities, set menus and vegetarian dishes along with a fully licensed bar.
Located seconds away from the Royal Centre, Mogal E Azam are looking forward to giving you a welcome as warm as the spices, and a dining experience as distinctive as our food.
We host many celebrities from the Royal Centre so when your dine with Mogal E Azam you never know who you could be dining with.

If you do not know what to choose from the menu but you want to try new indian tastes ask the reccomendation from Asab. He is the specialist! :D ”

“This is a great curry option in the city centre. Agree with previous reviewer that it is much better than the other options - there are really no comparisons. In more sociable hours it is still a gfood option, and has a great central option (most other curry houses are in maid Marian Way) but I tend to always go there on the way home from a night out!”

“If you do like a post-pub curry late at night, this place does seem to stay open later than most.
And the food does not suffer for it. There are other places in Nottingham that stay open late, but seem to think that they can serve up any old muck.
This place does not fall into that category. Very much a traditional curry house, it is a reliable, welcome place to go when the 'must have a curry' mood grabs you as the pub is shutting!”

“One of the city centre's last traditional curry restaurants. Good food, really good value, plus they're always offering incentives listed on promotion websites. Women end up getting a flower when they leave, in my opinion a bit cheesy, but they seem to like it!”
