“ After spending many a night at a nearby Indian, we decided to try the Curry Lounge as heard many good reports from friends. The first thing that hits you is the amazing decor and waterfall. Great atmosphere, welcoming greeting by the staff and a lovely feel to the place. After going with the waiters recommendation, we all agreed the starters were the best we have had for a while, fish perfectly cooked, lamb shashlik soft and juice and the onion bhaji were amazing, crispy outer, soft inner and not greasy...how do they do that? The mains were equally impressive. I had lamb balti which was a huge portion and lovely. have been back twice this week and would recommend to anyone. ”

“The Curry Lounge does a good solid curry! It's prices are reasonable and its situated in the heart of Nottingham. It had a grilling from Gordon Ramsey but don't let that put you off. It has a clean modern feel to it and is a bit more flashy than other Indian in the area, giving it a different feel. Friendly staff make this a very pleasant place to visit.”

“This place was ok went there recently for a charity event with a set menu and I got to say it was pretty plain food every dish tasted like the last one, I think they must use the same sauce in every dish they serve, however the surroundings are lovely and the staff friendly.”

“We had the chef from here come round to cook for a group of friends at my house! It was a truly brilliant experience. He just pulled up with a box of fresh veg, meat and spices and took over the kitchen! Learnt more about curries that night than I could ever imagine. The end result was melt in your mouth onion bahjis, the most tender lamb curry and prawns that looked too big to be real! It's about £30 per head but worth every penny!”

“This place got a bit of a tough time when it appeared on TV with Gordon Ramsey. . . but it has always been very good in my experience.
There are plenty of places in town to get a good curry now and some are not too far away from this place. But it more than holds its own against the best in the city.
I guess with so much competition, the only way to gain an advantage is to provide something different and the atmosphere in this place is unique. A very nice room and a decent curry.
