Doing Beeston proud!

“We were a party of ten and we were well looked after by the very friendly staff. Attentive without being fussy - just right. Everyone had something different and all the food arrived at the same time piping hot. And what food! This isn't your normal boring gravy with lumps of meat like you get in a lot of average curry houses. This was fresh, vibrant, tasty curry made with fresh ingredients, every dish distinct from the next. It was great value too, averaging out around £22 per head including the obligatory pints of Cobra. I always judge a curry house by their cucumber raita - the Cottage Balti has it on the menu (tick) and it is freshly made with real yoghurt (tick), so they get a big thumbs up from me. You're doing Beeston proud Cottage Balti and I'd recommend any curry lover to give you a try.”

Best Indian food ever

“Absolutely awesome food and service here. We went in as a table of 6 and were so impressed we have rebooked for next week. We all got a free drink with the voucher on here. The chef came out to ask if everything was alright. The decor and service was better than many of the restaurants in the city. Beeston should be proud to have such a good Indian restaurant. Highly recommended ”

Always good, now even better.

“We have been visiting the Cottage Balti for a number of years. It has always been good but when we visited with a party of 7 on a Friday night it was obvious that they are making a big effort to be even better - and succeeding. Food was nicely spiced. Service was excellent and they really made the effort to make us feel welcome. Definitely one to revisit in the near future.”

Good Curry in a Hurry!

“The Cottage Balti does a great takeaway service. We got back off holiday last weekend and all we wanted was a curry! We gave them a ring and had a curry on our knee within half an hour. Their delivery service was really fast. They do some great dishes, we had a Lamb Methi, Chicken Korma and a Lamb Dipiaza. They were all delicious and just what we needed after five hours on the motorway!”

In Search of the Best Korma

“It has been along time since I had a good curry. I find them a bit hit and miss. Maybe I am a fussy eater but they have to be right for me to really enjoy them. I had heard some good reports about this place and so when a friend suggested a curry I jumped at trying it out. We went for a meal (they also do takeaway) and it was excellent. I ordered the Chicken Korma (I know, not very adventurous but my search is on to find the best one out of South Shields) and my friend had a Lamb Bhuna. Both dishes were pipping hot and we both had a lot of food on our plate. I was really impressed and it does rate as one of the best Korma's I have had! Service was great too.”

Friendly and relaxed atmosphere

“Cottage Balti is a great little Indian restaurant. Handy for both Beeston and Chilwell they are a medium sized curry house with really tasty dishes. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and the staff are always keen to go the extra mile to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.”
