“ I recently went to this restaurant as part of a large group celebrating a friends 40th birthday. It was the first time I’d been here, and to be honest I’d never really noticed it. A small door located on Kings Walk takes you into a beautiful French restaurant full of lovely delicious smells and friendly smiling staff. Not only did the food, the wine and the price turn me into a big fan of this restaurant, but the fact that they gave me and my group a private room which they allowed us to decorate with balloons and banners. The whole evening was really special and a large part of that was down to the restaurant. I’d highly recommend this place and will definitely be going here again. ”

“I had a meal here with friends and it was delightful. Cosy and intimate on a chilly night, I enjoyed onion soup to start followed by some juicy and tasty mussels and excellent bread. My friends also enjoyed their steaks and fish. I would definitely go back, had a great evening and the service was quick and friendly.”

“We quite often have family get togethers at this place, with several generations of family all sat round a big table.
And the best thing you can say about it is that it does cater for everyone. The steak frites is fantastic. But they also do great fish dishes and the normal French fare that you might expect.
The wine was a bit expensive, but that is a very minor complaint. And it is balanced out easily if you go in midweek when they have a very good value set menu.”

“This is a lovely independent restaurant, with a really cosy, intimate feel. My boyfriend took me here on our first date and in the last two years we have been here several times, and never had a bad meal.
The menu changes regularly depending on what's in season, and there are usually deals on which make it great value. Had one of the best desserts I've ever tasted here - not sure what it was called but it involved lots of meringue, cream, chocolate sauce and bananas - delicious!”

“Off the main throughfare, this is a charming little restaurant which is both intimate and offers delicious food. It's definitely one of the best French restaurants in town and it's nice to find something that's indpedent and not another chain.
Their steaks are delicious and they have a lovely wine menu. Also, they have a theatre menu which has bargainous set menus on it so it's worth checking that out if you fancy a cheaper bite.”

“Found this place to be quite delightful! Was taken here for a lunch with my cousin and found the decor to be modern and stylish, the staff were instantly welcoming and efficient at taking our orders but also giving me a bit of help, with not being an overly experienced french eater. I went with the mackarel pate for starter, very nice and then the pan fried calf liver for main which was delicious! Not to everyones taste of course but liver is a favourite of mine, although I've never had it cooked in such a way. Really enjoyable. ”
