“ Despite West Bridgford being one of my favourite places to go, I'd never been in the Pearl until last Friday. Happily I found it to be a good contender against it's other rivals, such as Fire and Ice and the Monkey Tree. I did find it slightly expensive, the wine was good and there was plenty of atmosphere to make up for the dent left in my purse. Would definitely go here again! ”

“This place is being refurbished at the moment, but really is a nice place to go. It's usually busy at the weekends and they do a great selection of cocktails. There's also a happy hour which is worth a visit! the restaurant is quite separate from the bar which is good, and offers really good chinese cuisine! there's also brilliant fish tanks in the bar - fingers crossed these have been kept!”

“I had one of my most memorable new year celebrations in this place, when the set menu proved to be a delicious meal.
It is top quality asian food, which you do pay a little extra for. But it does seem to be worth it as a treat. Others on here have mentioned the prawn crackers, which really are very good - particularly the spicy ones!
It is good to get a bowl of them to snack on even if you are only popping in for a drink.”

“The prawn crackers here are amazing! In fact, so is the rest of the grub. It is more expensive than your average Chinese but it is a lot better than average. It's currently being refurbished and I'm looking forward to popping back in once it's reopened.”

“Judging from the piles of rubble outside this place at the moment it is undergoing a major refurbishment! Will be interesting to see what it's like.
The bar itself did great food, perfect for after-work drinks and a bite to eat. I've always found this food to be really tasty and reasonably priced.
However, the one time I have eaten in the proper restaurant upstairs I found it to be really expensive and just didn't think the food was worth the price. It was perfectly reasonable but I just didn't think the quality of it, or the atmosphere of the restaurant, justified the high prices.”

“Nice restaurant although a little dark and lacking in atmosphere upstairs. The food and service were both good Would recommend although if I went again would sit downstairs. Nice bar and lounge to have a drink.”
