“ I believe the previous poster is mixing this pub up with another, maybe to much pop for one night hey!! I’m sure I’ve written something about this pub of late but like my posts on face book do so often, have disappeared… I do believe they have live bands on sometimes but I wouldn’t imagine the locals would be very happy in the back room to have their beers de carbonated with loud penetrating ear splitting music.. The beer garden is non existent, if you can call two or three large sturdy picnic tables placed at the side of the car park and three yards from a very busy main road out and into Long Eaton a beer garden then so be it but not my idea of one.. Here’s a little inside information for you which the locals would like not to be broadcasted about for the fear of every Tom Dick and Harry knowing about it, and they going short. On a Sunday diner a cheese board is placed on the bar for all to help themselves too. When I was living on my own I used to go to the White lion for my diner and then pop over to the Nags head for the cheese board. Bip. ”

“Cracking pub, saw a band here recently and had one of the best nights out i've had in ages! Top pub. would definately recommend to all, a traditional pub that offers classic British meals, a large beer garden and regular live music.
