THERE is a treat for sports fans and ladies who like a spot

of pampering in this week's auction for our Maggie's

appeal.

We have eight tickets to see Notts Outlaws take on the

Sussex Sharks in the NatWest Pro40 League on September 14 at

the county ground – plus an England practice top, signed by

former captain Michael Vaughan.

The tickets were donated by Mars employees from an

Apprentice-style challenge they recently took part in at

Nottingham.

Proceeds from the auction, which raises funds from text

bids, will go to our £500,000 appeal for a cancer caring centre

in Nottingham.

The other prize this week comprises an £85 Dream Journey

Traveller, a luxury carry-all containing a selection of Elemis

skin and beauty essentials, plus a relaxing SpaPod facial,

which is worth £45, at John Lewis in Nottingham.

Long Eaton mum Jo Cole, 42, won a trip to Jersey Live Music

Festival, including free bmibaby flights and accommodation in a

top hotel in St Helier with her 5p bid.

Mrs Cole, who wanted the prize for her daughter Rosie, 17,

said: "It's fantastic. She's going to be ecstatic. She loves

concerts and festivals."

Meanwhile, Carol Crichton, 55, of Beeston, can't wait to

spend her £130 in gift cards at the new Tesco Express in

Lenton, which she won for 8p.

Here’s how to enter. In this

face="Arial" color="#ff0000" size="2">auction

"2">, it’s not how high you bid, it’s how low. If yours is the

lowest unique bid by the end of the

color="#ff0000" size="2">auction, you

win. So if lots of people bid a penny, and you are the only

person to bid two pence, you win! All it costs you is the price

of the text – in this case it’s £1 plus your standard network

rate – with all the profits going to Maggie’s. The winner will

also have to pay their bid.

If yours is the lowest bid, we’ll let you

know. And if not, we’ll also let you know.

If you are bidding for the

"2">prize, grab your mobile and text EP

EP

"2">CRICKET 5 you will have bid £5. If

you text EP

"2">CRICKET 0.50 you will have bid

50p.

For the Elemis and SpaPod prize, do the same

but start your text with EP SPA.

followed by your bid.

Make sure you bid accurately.

Use zero, not O, or your bid will not be

recognised.

Terms and conditions: Texts cost £1 each plus

normal network charges. Open to UK residents aged 18 and over.

Please check with the bill payer before you make a bid. Minimum
