£6.7m VISION FOR HOLME PIERREPONT
PLANS have been revealed for a £6.7 million redevelopment of the National Water Sports Centre, at Holme Pierrepont.
An outdoor laser tag game, Segway scooter hire and state-of-the-art gym facilities are among the attractions which are planned to be built at the Holme Pierrepont site.
The redevelopment is expected to begin in April, with a planned relaunch set to take place early next year.
Management firm Serco Leisure will help to run the site and says it aims to fulfil its true potential.

Craig Mulhall, from the firm, said: "We want to make people aware of what we have got here – it's a fantastic asset. These plans will see people come to the centre and staying here.
"But at the same time, we still have elite athletes using the centre and we want this to continue well into the future. It's all about making the most of the potential of the hidden gem we have here in Notts."
A community trust will also help run the site. Trust chairman Brian Taylor added: "These are very exciting plans."
Twenty-five new jobs would be created at the centre – and the current 45 staff will keep their jobs.
The campsite will also be improved and a new "adventure" mini-golf course is planned.
