'Former Co-op employee' charged with robbing 8 of its stores
A MAN charged in connection with two robberies at Co-op stores has now been charged with a further six.
Modou Musa Ndow is set to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court today.
At a previous hearing, magistrates were told he had been a former employee of the Co-op. The 41-year-old was previously charged with a robbery at a Co-op store in Long Eaton on June 17 and a Co-op store in Lowdham on April 30.
Now Ndow, after being remanded, has been charged with another six at Co-op stores, in Radford on January 4; Gedling on February 8; Radford on March 19; Sherwood on April 5; Carrington on June 1; Sneinton on November 28, 2009. He also faces four charges relating to the possession of a handgun.
Police said Ndow comes from Sneinton. At a previous hearing, he gave his address as Mansfield Road, Nottingham.
