DANIELA Marchesi, an account executive at Nottingham's BCS Public Relations, has won a travel writing competition with publishing giant Lonely Planet for the second time this year.

An article she wrote detailing her ideal trip across southern India beat more than 300 entries to be one of the five winning articles published in Lonely Planet's Big Trip book promotion.

Aaron Lamb, of Lonely Planet Publications, said: "Daniela's entry was a great example of how to write about travel in a fresh and honest way whilst maintaining a sense of humour."

Fluent in Italian, Spanish and French, Daniela, of Mapperley Park, works with a portfolio of international clients.
