The 38-year-old and teenager were in a party of seven descending into Lathkill Dale on Bank Holiday Monday when the woman slipped and fell on to the girl.
The woman injured both ankles and her daughter injured her knee.
Both were rescued by Buxton and Edale Mountain Rescue Teams and taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
Neil Carruthers, Buxton team leader, said: "This party was descending wet limestone at the top of the dale, which can be treacherous.
"Having two casualties, meant we called on our colleagues in the Edale Team to assist us with the evacuations."
Mr Carruthers said the team was currently fundraising to buy a third set of kit to be kept at its headquarters so that it can ensure an immediate response to incidents.
