A COMPANY which provides wheelchairs and mobility aids has been ordered to trade legally after more than 100 complaints about them were received.

An interim injunction was granted against ABM Mobility to trade legally and fairly at a hearing at Nottingham County Court.

The firm, based in Gainsborough Business Park in Long Eaton, can continue trading as long as they abide by the rules, otherwise more serious action may be taken.

The business, which also produces power wheelchairs and mobility appliances, is run by Amarjit Gill.

Councillor Carol Hart, County Council cabinet member for communities, said: "We've tried working with Mr Gill for the past year and took this action as a last resort.

"Very often the people buying mobility aids are vulnerable so we are determined to do what we can to protect them.

"We'll be monitoring the company closely and will not hesitate to go back to court if we receive more complaints."
