The name will now appear on his passport

A MANSFIELD man has changed his name by Deed Poll to Kenny Logflume – after being dared by his workmates.

The 24-year-old car salesman, formerly known as Gareth Griffiths, changed his name after his colleagues said he would never go through with it.

Mr Logflume, who works at Pentagon Vauxhall, in Mansfield, said: "I pulled a face on my driver's licence photo and everyone thinks that my real name does not live up to the photo, so after much debate my workmates chose me a brand new name – Kenny Logflume.

"I will not go into why, but let's just say it has something to do with toilet humour.

"I changed it for the lasting giggles when I get my passport and business cards out. My workmates thought it was great – one of them even paid for it because they were so certain I would not go through with it."

Kenny, who also gets called Joey at work, changed his name with online Deed Poll provider The Legal Deed Service.

Chief executive of The Legal Deed Service, Jamie Jackson said: "We are constantly getting crazy name change applications and we have a right laugh in the office when they arrive."
