Poem: The Last Leaves

Monday, November 17, 2008, 10:31

An age ago I read a poem

The Last Leaf on a tree

An aged man it pictured thus

As being all alone

This week I saw just three

Old soldiers hanging there

The last of an illustrious line

Still yet to flutter down

Holding on still

Survivors of renown

Henry, Harry and proud Bill
