From helicopter rides and hotels, to an array of restaurants offering special Valentine’s menus, help is on hand to ensure romance is in the air in Nottingham this year.
Brian Skelhorn, managing director of the award-winning Anderson’s florists said it is not unusual to be looking for a last-minute way to say ‘I love you’ at this time of year.
He said: “Most men seem to leave things to the last minute and we often get guys coming through the door at 3pm on February 13 looking for something for the next day. Because we do deliveries we are normally able to help and can deliver to people’s places of work to make sure they receive their flowers in time.”
Brian says red roses are still the flower of choice when it comes to impressing your partner on Valentine’s Day but the company has also seen a growth in sales on their ‘Love Packs’.
He said: “Red roses are still the one people look for but the gift packs have been very popular with people too.”
