Louis Briscoe
The right-winger has not always been at the top of his game this season and struggled to fulfil his potential.
But the former Port Vale man was at his buccaneering best against the Whites, setting up Mansfield's second and fourth goals and going close to scoring himself.
"This season has not been brilliant for me on a personal note, but I was pleased with how it went against Salisbury," said Briscoe.
"I was not in the team and the gaffer pulled me aside and told me I had to go away and work on my game if I was to get back in.
"That is what I have done. I have been working specifically on my crossing and it is coming off. I have been doing it three or four times a week.
"I thought I had scored as well at the end, but their keeper made an excellent save."
Briscoe is hoping his display is not just a one off.
"My aim now is to stay in the team for the rest of the season because I have been in and out of it," he said. "I know I have to do it in more than just one game and hopefully now I can carry it on against Tamworth."
