Burns: Cole should live in the real world

ASHLEY Cole has found himself in trouble in the past few days

Outside a trendy London bar in the early hours, hurling abuse at photographers, he then turned on the police.

He got a fixed penalty notice but I am afraid the public just does not have sympathy for the Chelsea and England defender.

Ever since he revealed in his autobiography how insulted he was that Arsenal only offered him a new contract on JUST £50k plus a year, he has hit a nerve with the man in the street. It is not just that. It is also the fact, in my view, he is not even that good a defender.

At Coventry on Saturday, he was booed by the crowd every time he touched the ball and I am afraid while he continues behaving in such a petulant manner, that will continue.

Get in the real world and grow up and stop feeling sorry for yourself Ashley.
