Just written a cheque for £50 and now I'm about to email all my family, friends and anyone else that happens to be in my address book. My fund-raising method right now will be to use a little emotional blackmail in the form of "It's Valentine's Day, if you love me you'll donate!"... somewhat underhanded you might think... maybe, but they all know how much this means to me having battled and survived cancer myself, and they were right there with me every step of the way. So I'm sure they'll support Maggie's too.
Good luck with it all.
Jodi Price, Hucknall
I am hosting a coffee morning for parents on Friday 9th March in the school's small dining hall from 9.30am to 10.00am approximately in which I hope to have a raffle. I have contacted Trent FM to see if Black Thunders can attend. Sadly I lost a parent at the end of last year at the age of 31 to cancer. So this charity is close to our school community's heart.
