Camp the Forest hero against Rams

Sunday, November 02, 2008, 16:25

LEE Camp proved to be the Nottingham Forest hero on his return to his former club and was delighted to help earn a point for his side at Pride Park.

The former Rams goalkeeper saved Nacer Barazite's injury time penalty before pulling off a superb save from Emanuel Villa to keep the score at 1-1. The Rams then had a Miles Addison header ruled out by the referee.

And after earning a crucial point against Derby, the goalkeeper, on loan from QPR, said: "I did not sleep last night, more excitement than anything but you can say these are what dreams are made of.

"It was an interesting finish. These things are sent to try us and thankfully we held on.

"I am a Derby boy, I still live in Derby so I have to be respectful in what I say to the Derby people.

"A draw was a fair result and maybe they could have had a goal at the end, the disallowed one (from Miles Addison) but we needed a bit of luck as we have been so unlucky in recent games. So maybe lady luck shined on us today.

"We are very pleased with the point, especially with how the game finished."
