Burnley boss praises quality of finishing against Forest

BURNLEY manager Owen Coyle praised the quality of his side's finishing as they strengthened their push for a play-off place in the 5-0 demolition of Nottingham Forest.

"I think we have been threatening to do that for a long time," he said.

"There was never five goals in the game but the bottom line is we were clinical. All season we have been creating a host of chances but this helps the goal difference.

"We have got some gifted players in the offensive third of the field and we did try to get the ball down, but the pitch is not helping us in the way we like to play.

"Some of the moves were great, culminating in some terrific finishes. They were exquisite finishes, fit to grace any arena and a few of them probably deserved to win a match in their own right."
