Pensioner punched in stomach as thieves snatch £300

A PENSIONER was punched in the stomach when two men broke into his home and stole £300.

The men attacked the pensioner after climbing in through a window.

The victim was left shaken by the incident, which happened in Heanor Road, Ilkeston, around 3.30pm on Saturday.

Both men were described as white, aged between 18 and 25 and wearing dark hooded tops. One is described as slim and 6ft 1in tall. Both had local accents and dark hair.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the pair to call 0345 123 3333 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
