Thursday, November 20, 2008, 09:15

THIS silver 4x4 landed on its side after an alleged high-speed crash on a housing estate.

Police cordoned off part of Ambleside Road in Aspley following the crash at 9pm last night. Car parts were strewn across the road junction.

Police have arrested a 32-year-old man and a 23-year-old man who were both taken to the QMC with injuries.

The 23-year-old is still in hospital, but the 32-year-old is now in police custody.

Chris Parrott, 55, who has lived in Ambleside Road for more than 20 years, said: "I heard a tremendous bang and everyone came outside to see what had happened. I've never seen a police presence like it before – there were so many police cars involved. It's the first incident I have seen like this – it's pretty scary stuff."

A woman resident said: "I just heard a huge bang and went outside to have a look."

Police are appealing for any witnesses to call them on 0115 967 0999 and ask for Radford Road Police Station.
