Carlton family to sue over Spanish holiday illness
Sonia and Nicholas Parsons say their holiday with their three children was ruined by diarrhoea and sickness.
They fell ill shortly after their arrival at the Jupiter Hotel in Majorca in September.
Mrs Parsons, 36, claims food served at the hotel was exposed to insects as well as frequently not being hot when it was served.
She added that the hotel pool was closed because faeces had been found in the pool.
She said: "It was a horrible experience." and added that her children Caitlyn, Dylan and Kian couldn't start the school year on time because they were still ill.
Amandeep Dhillon of Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, who is representing the couple, said they were seeking compensation.
A spokesperson for First Choice said it would investigate the claims and respond as soon as possible.
She said: "We would like to reassure our customers that every effort is taken to safeguard their health and wellbeing whilst abroad.
"First Choice closely monitors all the hotels to which it operates to ensure that the health, safety, hygiene and comfort levels our customers expect are maintained."
