Anti-ageing effects of Boots product proven

LONG queues are expected at Boots today for a beauty product which has had its anti-ageing effects proven.

A 12-month clinical trial has found Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Beauty Serum has genuine, long-term benefits and makes a visible and structural improvement to the skin.

Previously, customers flocked to buy the company's No 7 Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum after its reported benefits were highlighted in BBC's Horizon programme.

The new results, revealed in the British Journal of Dermatology on Tuesday, showed that the No 7 Intense Serum improved skin structure and facial wrinkles when used over a 12-month period.

Boots skincare scientific adviser Stewart Long said: "To our knowledge this is the first time such benefits have been reported for a non-prescription cosmetic anti-ageing product."
