George Boyd
The midfielder made an encouraging debut after arriving on loan from Peterborough.
And he felt that the manner of their injury time win, courtesy of a Luke Chambers header, can give Forest the belief they need to address their away form.
Forest have won ten successive league games at the City Ground but now have consecutive away trips to Preston and Barnsley.
"Ten wins on the bounce is really good, it just keeps the momentum going. Now we just want to get wins away from home as well," said Boyd, pictured.
"The next two games both look winnable. I know we have had a blip away from home, but we will take confidence from the win and from going into second place in the table.
"We have to push on now."
And Boyd hopes that, at the same time, West Brom are going through a crisis of confidence following their defeat at QPR.
"We are just going to take things one step at a time, but there is always one team that has a wobble. With them losing, it just made it better for us," he said.
"That is the sign of a team that is chasing promotion, scoring last minute goals like that.
"But our work rate was really good and, with the chances we created, we deserved the win.
"This is why I have come to the club, because it was a massive crowd and a great win for us."
Boyd came close to scoring twice in the game, hitting the side netting in the first minute and later forcing a fine save from Dorus de Vries.
"When I get to know everyone better, I will get more of the ball. But the main thing was getting three points," he said. "I was nervous coming out in front of a big crowd, but as soon as I had a few touches, I was fine.
"The more I play, the more I will get on the ball and the more I will be able to show.
"The first one was a cross, but I don't know how he saved the second one, because he was diving the other way. He just got something on it.
"It would have been great to score on my debut but three points is the most important thing."
