The Rusty Trombone of God is back and this time it's in Nottingham!
BIRCHALL/CHEETHAM DUO: gtr spasms, free percussion, pinecones and birdsong
David Birchal it at the height of his improv powers at the moment, co running Tubers Music and several Improvisation Workshops, multi-media performances (in particular with artist Naomi Kendricks drawn/performative response to sound) and numerous collaborations (recent highlight being Chastity Potatoe w/ Luke Poot).
Andrew Cheetham draws from working across numerous bands and genres (Lonelady, Easter, Butcher the Bar & Desmadrados Soldados de Ventura) to develop a sympathetic and complex percussive presence both free and expertly restrained.
Together they create a free improvised drone/rock/noise filled with comic exuberance and cosmic ascendance.
