“I don't know why isn't "Baroness" Warsi addressing the inequities in her own religion instead of encouraging the Vatican to interfere in British politics yet again ?" Boom boom !!!”

“Well dave, as usual you've lived up to your very high standards of intellectual vacuosity. Which loosely translated means you are an idiot, but you already knew that didn't you.

Still waiting dave. Are you a coward, or can you compose more than two lines ?”

    “Hashimoto2
we can all see by your apparrent loathing of anything religious or faith led, that you are a lonely person who has had an upbringing in a stict religious house and are now so disturbed that you have to hit out at any thing or anyone who believes a higher being.

Ifeel sorry for you and will include you in my prayers.”

    “Zeus.
Have you got anything relevant to say on the topic posted, or will you continue to spout irrelevant claptrap in your role as amateur psychologist? I was suggesting that Baroness Warsi and her pious politicos are out of touch with the nation's views on religion, and that she should address the inequality in her own religion instead of cosying up to a pope that needs no prompting to interfere in British politics. If I'd wanted the sermon on the mount, I would have said so.
I don't come from a religious background, and that eliminated the need to engage in the most useless pastime ever invented, praying. I've never uttered the time honoured Christian phrase "I believe in god because I was brought up to do so" which must render children as gullible and unenlightened as their brainwashed and probably insane parents. The benchmark of logic is not to believe in anything unless it can be proven, which is something you should try, unless you've been indoctrinated to the point where blind ignorance triumphs against anything that threatens your ridiculous faith.
I don't subject myself to the judgement and guidance of the clerical fascists known as clergy, and I don't engage in a poxy religion that's demands submission, feelings of guilt, and blind obedience to a murderous nut job known as god.
Disturbed? Witnessing people being sucked in by unprovable nonsense is fine, but when they insist on the rest of us living in accordance with their intolerant and stupid ideas, you bet I'm disturbed.
Instead of praying, I suggest you do something useful, like studying the science that explains how we got here, as opposed to the spoon fed drivel propping up your religion.

And what on earth is a "higher" being ? Higher than what ?”

“I agree Zeus, he's a very lonely and sad person and I'm sure that you are right about a strict religious upbringing. He was probably forced to attend church on Sunday's and made to wear a dress whilst doing so.

He harmless enough though bless him and I quite enjoy my little exchanges with him, it takes his mind off his obsession with God and Chrisianity.”

“Don't flatter yourself that you are part of an "exchange" I swap opinions and views with those capable of writing an articulate response, not a semi illiterate dullard who can hardly put a sentence together.
Although congratulations are due for stretching your unimpressive literary output to five lines, this falls far short of a worthy contribution to debate, and despite several requests to entertain us with the thoughts of chairman dave, it's obvious that critical comment and pointless observations are the limit of your grammatical ability.”

I seem to have struck a nerve with you about you being disturbed, otherwise why go into such a rant? I would guess that a religious person has done you some harm and you are continually striking out against anything religious so as to get some sort of revenge on God himself, if not why insult the almighty ?

We ought to meet, you would make a great case study.”

“Thanks for the offer of amateur psychology, but considering your status as a deluded Christian unable to answer simple questions, I doubt you'd be capable of studying The Beano.

However, I accept your invitation to meet, so just name the time and place.

And if you do reply, would it be possible to dispense with the word "rant", because using that is just a cover up for the fact that you don't have an answer. Try facts, they carry so much more weight.

It shows how weak your argument is when you've got dimwit dave in support. You (almost) have my sympathy.”

“hashimoto..you used to at least pretend to be clever, and pretend to have a relevant point. Now though you just moan, throw insults, and point out incorrect grammar (the lowest form of trolling..) i think its fair to say your little experiment has failed, time for a name change and a new angle son.

or just get off the internet and i dunno..go out? expand your horizons a little? maybe even...have some fun?”

“"the most useless pastime ever invented, praying"

I'd disagree with this - praying is actually a form of meditation and has beneficial effects on the person praying.”

“Mirrv:- I suppose if someone's too dim to understand the simple logic and relevance of not believing in anything unless it can be proven, adopting that view would seem clever. I'll try and simplify it for you in future, if that's possible.

The really clever bit is explaining how views of such unshakable certainty about god are held without a scrap of evidence in support.

And I'm not conducting any experiments as that's best left to science. I'm just asking questions that have the same relevance now as 2000 years ago, when superstition and blind ignorance were accepted. Now they aren't, unless you're a devout believer in supernatural beings, of course.

And considering that you're almost as adept as dave at submitting pointless criticism of other peoples posts, I hardly think you're in a position to demand a cessation of comments about topics of choice. If only there was an answer, such as, "Don't read subjects that won't elicit a worthwhile response"

I've frequently asked Fount of Knowledge dave to post a topic for fascinating debate, but as it takes more intellect than that of a dung beetle, I doubt a response will be forthcoming.

So I offer you the same challenge.”

And your evidence that God doesn't exist is what? you are a complete retard, a sad loner who "gets off" by ****ging off Christianity. As many have previously stated, you need help with your mental illness.”

    “davetherave
"And your evidence that God doesn't exist is what"?

If you spent more time reading peoples posts instead of trying to be clever, you'd notice that I've never said god doesn't exist. I have addressed this conundrum half a dozen times on this blog, but forgot that some people are blind as well as stupid.

Firstly, you can't disprove anything. That's accepted. But basic logic tells us that when claiming the existence of anything, the burden of proof is on the claimant, not the recipient. I don't have to prove that god doesn't exist, because I'm not the one who's been shoving the idea that he does in people's faces for the last 2000 years. Until someone comes up with solid evidence for gods authenticity, he/she /it, remains a negative which requires proof to turn it into a positive.

Do you believe in unicorns, or flying teapots orbiting the earth? If yes, provide evidence, and if no, how would you disprove their existence? I think we can safely assume that unicorns and flying teapots don't exist, but there's just as much evidence to the contrary as there is for the existence of god i.e.-none.

Thats a simple example of how logic works, so what's your version ?

And please don't bore the backside of us with further childish comments about mental illness and repetitious insults. You need to grow up and respond to peoples points in an adult way. Its much more rewarding than being critical just for the sake of it.”

“One thing I'd like to ask that IDIOT (sorry hashimoto) dave15248 is this "Please explain why it took God 6 days to create the Earth when the 'Big Bang' (which created everything in the Universe icluding an insignificant piece of rock that became Earth, took about 2 seconds?"”

“It's quite simple Geoff. god took 6 days to make the universe but then had to give it an extra day for evolution. A bit like Delia Smith.”
