Dog show in memory of PC Ged Walker

A DOG show in memory of fallen Notts police dog handler Ged Walker is to be held in Long Eaton later this summer.

The event at West Park on August 9 opens at 11am, with judging beginning at noon.

Organisers raised £1,000 for Ged's family after a similar dog show last year.

PC Walker, 42, died in hospital on January 9, 2003, two days after being dragged 100 yards alongside a stolen taxi.

Anyone who would like to enter their dogs or find out more information can call 0115 919 7034 or 846 2031. You can also enter dogs for classes at 11am on the day.
