Two charged following fuel theft in Calverton

Two men have been charged following the theft of thousands of pounds worth of fuel in Calverton at the weekend.

It happened just before 11pm on Friday when intruders forced entry to the Forest Lane Service Station, on the A614, and siphoned off diesel.

Colin Danby, 32, of Selcombe Way, Birmingham was arrested and subsequently charged with theft and driving while disqualified. Zach Lorimer, 21, of Kinnerton Crescent, also Birmingham was also arrested and later charged with theft.

Both were remanded into custody and appeared before Nottingham Magistrates on Monday.
