Three charged after BMW crash

THREE men are set to appear before Nottingham

magistrates after a stolen BMW careered the wrong way down

a city centre road and crashed into another car.

The BMW narrowly missed 20 other cars as it was driven the

wrong way along Western Boulevard at around 1.15pm

yesterday.

It then collided head-on with a Daewoo near the junction

with Aspley Lane.

A woman passenger in the Daewoo suffered serious injuries

and is being treated at the Queen's Medical Centre.

Her condition is not thought to be life threatening.

The man driving the Daewoo was also taken to the

QMC but later released.

Three men in lhe BMW, two aged 31 and one aged 28, were

arrested after the smash.

Two of the men have since been charged with

aggravated vehicle taking.

The other man has been charged with handling stolen

goods, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing

to stop for police, failing to remain at the scene of injury

following a traffic collision and driving without

insurance.

All three will appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on

Tuesday.
