No awards, but boy band feud flares for Jake
JAKE Bugg walked away empty-handed from the NME Awards, missing out on the Best Solo Artist and Best Album gongs that he was nominated for.
But the chart-topping Clifton musician, who turned 19 yesterday, still managed to hit the headlines due to his ongoing feud with boy band One Direction.
After telling a magazine that he disagreed with the quintet being referred to as "the new Beatles", band member Louis Tomlinson took to Twitter to fight back, saying: "Do you think slagging off boy bands makes you more indie?"
On the red carpet at the awards ceremony in London on Wednesday night, Jake told MTV that he hoped Harry Styles would win the gong for Villain of the Year.

He also complained that they shouldn't be considered a band as they didn't play any instruments, suggesting that Styles "might know a couple of chords".
Last month, Jake missed out on a Brit Award for Best Breakthrough Artist.
