“ A great theatre just outside the city centre, which has a modern yet intimate feel. It has an adjoining bar which is great for a pre show drink, and there's lots of space to sit outside too which is great on a hot summer evening. There's lots of on street parking all around the theatre which is quite reasonably priced - we paid £1 after 6.00pm. ”

“Love this theatre has a real nice feel to it not to big for seeing play's it give's you a really intimate feel. The adjoining bar for pre-theatre drinks (Cast) is also a hangout when not seeing a play a really stylish and friendly place. Next to the bar you also have a great restaurant which is a little pricey but good food.”

“The Playhouse offers visitors events that are a little less mainstream than what you might find at the Theatre Royal. It feels more modern, with the Anish Kapoor 'Sky Mirror' welcoming visitors in the courtyard. It's also a really nice place to go to meet friends and sit outside for a drink - so make a day of it!”

“to Nottingham City, excellent theatre in a lovely little square (well, circle!). Delight in the GIANT mirror outside, sip drinks at the adjoining bar, or enjoy a pre-show meal in the restaurant. The theatre itself is large yet intimate and the customer service is always good. In summer it is lovely to people watch sitting outside having a cool beer :)”
