“ This is really good to go with a group of mates. It's pretty basic but that's what makes it a lot of fun and there's no feeling of inferiority whether you bet on the tote or some of the specialist stalls. Drinks are fairly cheap and because of the reasonable prices you can stay as long as you like. The only problem is it's a bit out of the way for taxis and things, but the money you save on the night out (or winnings!) should cover it! ”

“I wasn't sure about going to the races, as I'm not a big gambler, but I loved it. It was cheap enough and exciting enough to forget if you don't win anything and it's a fun night out. Great if you're with a group of friends for a shoulder to cry on or for taxi fare if you've been unlucky! ”

“A really good place for a bit of a different night out. It's pretty cheap and cheerful and has none of the glamour of horse racing, but is equally addictive. You can put on really small bets if you're not much of a gambler. They do a range of snack food and you can buy reasonably priced drinks at the bar.
The only drawback is that it does tend to go on a bit - especially if you're not on a winning streak! ”

“Nottingham Greyhound Stadium offers an exciting day or night out for a group of friends. Admission is cheap (you can get in for around the £5 mark) and you can place bets from as low as 50p. They also offer various deals where you can get bets and food included.”
