“ I live just across the road from Wollaton Park and feel extremely lucky. It is a gorgeous park to visit. The hall is a must see and the coffee shop is very reasonable. I also like to stroll round the museum. It is a fabulous place to take the kids for a picnic, they can run around roll down the hill and really tire themselves out all in all we are privileged to have such a beautiful place. ”

“Right in the central part of the city you really wouldn't expect to find somewhere as lovely as this. Wollaton Park itself is beautiful and great to visit the picturesque gardens all year round. There's always something going on, the music festival Splendour in July is gong from strength to strength and there's often race for life events etc.
The museum is good too. It' a great chance to learn about Notts history, as well as see a lot of stuffed animals!
You definitely won't get bored here, one of my favourite places. ”

“Wollaton Park is a really great place to visit and very accessible for everyone, being on frequent and major bus routes. That said, once you're in the grounds it's a great place to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. The grounds are vast enough that a whole day can be spent here for very little cost. It also plays host to a number of events. We're lucky to have such a place so close to the town centre to escape to when city life gets too much! ”

“Wollaton park, and the museum in the hall itself, are one of my favourite places in Nottingham. The natural history museum is jam-packed full of interesting exhibits and the park is a lovely green oasis in the city, where you can forget where you are and enjoy lovely walks and picnics. The industrial museum used to be brilliant too, but I think it's now only open a few days a year due to council cuts, which is a real shame as it's a great slice of Nottingham history.”

“We often visit here and never tire of seeing the deer, the ducks and the large Gorilla, the last of which is stuffed and on display in the house!! The house is a real treat to look around, there is a large selection of stuffed animals to look throughout the house which makes it very interseting. In the summer it is lovely to bring a picnic and spend the day in the grounds and gardens. In the winter it is nice to get wrapped up and explore. They often have events ranging from Concerts to craft days too.”

“Another country park on my Summer days out hitlist. I always love going to Wollaton for the grounds and for the house and the best thing about it is the price. It's free to look around the house and it's very cheap to park making lazing out in the sun a lot more enjoyable. Watch out for the deer!”
