Zombies invade Nottingham as part of a live action game
A zombie invasion plagued Nottingham’s city centre tonight as revellers took part in the live action game, 2.8 Hours Later Asylum.
The game sets up a scenario of a city under siege from zombie attackers and challenges players to navigate their way to certain points in the city armed with just a map.

Participants had to make their way to a series of locations around the city without being caught by the infected attackers.
The unlucky ones who were caught were scanned and, consequently, became infected themselves.

The final location was the infamous zombie disco a place where the survivors could enjoy a drink after completing the game.
The game is based on the game 2.8 Hours Later, by game designers Slingshot, which is now in its fourth year and has been played by 20,000 people.
The civilians started their survival bid at the Talbot Street Car Park.
Olly Spencer, 18 who lives in Parkside Gardens, Wollaton, said: “I’ve no idea what I’m getting into all I know is that they’re recreating a zombie apocalypse, I’m expecting zombie and I’m just trying to stay alive.”
People travelled long distances to be involved in the immersive game and they came prepared with zombie survival techniques.
Jack Tapley, 20 from Kent, said: “I’ve done a lot of research about zombies in general and looked at a few top zombie survivor lists to pick up some tips and I’ve been to gym... which didn’t go well because I’m so unfit.”
“I’m of nervous disposition at the moment but my main technique is still to run as fast as I can.”
Abigail Caivell, 21 from Telford, said: “I know I’ve got a 2.8 hour survival mission ahead of me so I know I’ve got to do a lot of cardio and I’m going to hide and stick with the pack as much as I can”
Jack Patrick, 19, a student at the University of Nottingham, said: “I’ve come down for the zombies and a lot of running.
“My main survival technique is to try and deter the zombies without actually hurting them because unfortunately they’re actually people.”
