Squash: Battling Notts player Adrian Wright has added the British Masters O-70 title to his long list of honours.

Wright, the No.1 seed, beat Geoff Coe (Cheshire) 9-1, 9-5, 9-5 in the final in Manchester.

Wright, from Diseworth, reached the last four with a 9-2, 9-1, 9-3 win over Dudley Bostock (Cheshire) and he then disposed of Brian Phillips (Wales) 9-6, 9-1, 9-2.

Another Notts veteran, David Hardern, went out in the quarter-finals of the O-65 event. He lost 9-6, 9-0, 9-5, to beaten finalist Chris Goodbourn (Middlesex).

Clive Walters (Notts) lost 9-6, 9-0, 9-3 to Chris Harland (Surrey) in the second round of the O-50 event.

In the Ladies O-40 event, Notts' Midlands champion Alision Goy lost 9-5, 9-5, 9-6 in the quarter-finals to top seed Nikki Fowler (Cheshire), who went on to lift the title.

Notts youngster Oliver Holland won the U19 title at the French Open. He beat Richie Fallows 11-8, 11-9, 11-1 in the final.

"It was tough from the first round," said Holland. "The standard is so high.

"It was so hard in the first two games and then fitness told in the third."
