Woman fined £400 for assaulting policewoman
JENNY Khmel, 38, of Danehurst Drive, Gedling, has been fined £400 for assaulting a policewoman. Nottingham Magistrates' Court heard the assault was on an officer in Gedling on September 9. She received the fine for this offence, an order to pay £50 compensation to the officer, care of Carlton Police Station, a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £85. Additionally, she was fined £100 for a second offence at a pub, where he admitted he used threatening, abusive words or behaviour in a pub on September 8.
ANDREW Metcalf, 42, of Park Road East, Calverton, admitted he destroyed a window at the Greyhound pub, Arnold, on September 11 this year. He entered his guilty plea to criminal damage at Nottingham Magistrates' Court. He received a conditional discharge for 12 months and orders to pay £86 compensation and £20 court costs.
ALAN Mullin, 61, of Monkton Drive, Bilborough, was fined £58 and banned from driving for three years. He admitted he was in Monkton Drive in a Ford Escort when he was over the limit. He had 56 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on September 10 this year. The legal limit is 35. As well as the fine, he must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and court costs of £85.
CHIN Nam Yong, 74, of Main Street, Strelley, was fined £100 for drink-driving and banned from the roads for 12 months. Nottingham Magistrates' Court heard he pleaded guilty to drink-driving in Wollaton Vale on May 20 this year. He had 107 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80mg. In addition to the fine, he must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and court costs of £125.

DARREN Topliss, 37, of Kingfield Close, Rainworth, has been fined £250 for driving while disqualified in a Vauxhall Vectra. He admitted the offence happened in Queens Bower Road, Bestwood Park, on June 15 this year, Nottingham Magistrates' Court heard. As well as the fine, a victim surcharge and court costs must be paid. He admitted a second offence of using the Vauxhall without insurance. Six penalty points will be added to his licence for this offence.
