Wind farm site near Newark vandalised
WIND speed measuring equipment at the site of a proposed wind farm has been vandalised.
A mast at Thackson's Well, near Long Bennington, was damaged.
And guy wires holding the mast in place were cut.
Developer Infinergy has reported the incident to police.
South Kesteven District Council rejected plans to build ten wind turbines on the site earlier this year.
Infinergy has appealed against the decision.

“This is a reoccuring problem across the country, with vested interest groups, stirring up trouble in favour of nuclear energy.
They normaly use intimidation and myths to frighten people but increasingly it is now violence from climate change deniers and nuclear power advocates to keep their status quo.
With nuclear power averaging over 100 times more subsidy than anything renewables have received, they see Cheap wind power as a direct threat to their gravy train from the taxpayer.”
