White out
Jimmy White will not take part in this year's World Snooker Championship after a crushing 10-3 defeat by Ken Doherty in qualifying in Sheffield.
The six-time Crucible finalist was always up against it after falling 5-1 behind to world No44 Doherty, the 1997 world champion.
The 47-year-old had shown glimpses of his best with a 103 break in the early session but Doherty took a convincing lead and never looked back.
Former Pegasus pro Anthony Hamilton lost 10-6 to Tom Ford.
Meanwhile, John Parrott says he may quit after losing 10-6 to Chinese teenager Anda Zhang.
