ALDERSHOT boss Gary Waddock blasted his side for conceding a late goal to lose at Meadow Lane – and he felt their defending was poor for both of the Magpies' goals.

But he praised Notts for their never-say-die attitude, after they fought back from falling behind to claim an injury-time victory.

He said: "I can't explain why we concede goals late on. It's not a case of the lads not being fit enough and concentration.

"But we are conceding late goals and I am not too happy about it. We looked strong at times during the game, but the result tells you that they have won the game and that we have got nothing out of it. I felt we should have done.

"When it is so late in the game we have to hold on and get a point, because they are so important away from home.

"Both of the goals were poor from our side. The free-kick that came in the lad has got across one of our defenders to score and that shouldn't happen."
