Video: Chinese New Year Celebrations at Lakeside Arts Centre
Nottingham celebrated the Chinese New Year as hundreds gathered to welcome in the year of the snake.
Revellers got together in Highfields Park, at Nottingham University, to join in with the largest celebration in the Asian calendar.
A crowd was treated to music, dance and fireworks including a dragon dance.
There was also an exhibition at the Lakeside Art Centre, based in the university's grounds.

Rain threatened to spoil the activities but it failed to dampen the spirits of those who came along.
Jean Evan, 72, who lives in Kenilworth Road, Beeston, said:
"It's important to celebrate these occasions and Nottingham always does. It's just such a shame the weather is as awful as it is but they really do it well.
"There was a wonderful dragon dance here, as well as in Beeston, and of course it is the year of the snake."
