Vics will provide the acid test for Yellows
HUCKNALL Town travel to Northwich Victoria tomorrow for the middle of three games in five days with manager Tommy Brookbanks insisting: "We're not scared of reputations."
The Vics were in the Blue Square Bet Premier Division as recently as two seasons ago and are recognised as a big club for Evo-Stik level.

But having joined the Yellows from Carlton, Brookbanks is well used to trying to upset the odds, often succeeding.
And Hucknall could hardly go into the match in better form after a thumping 4-0 victory at Buxton on Wednesday night.
"Northwich are a big, big club and have won their first two matches, so they are already up and running and will be a confident outfit," he said.
"But the bigger the club, the more we will raise our game. I suppose we look at it as the bigger they are, the harder they fall.
"We were always the small club at Carlton going to bigger ones, but we always went with a strong belief we could hold our own and I want that mentality at Hucknall.
"Andy Preece is still the Northwich manager and he has a lot of experience at Football League level.
"But we have made a good start and we back ourselves to go and win there."
Brookbanks is delighted with the way his team have acquitted themselves so positively in scoring seven goals in their first two games.
But he believes what happened against Ossett – when they blew a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 – can be a valuable lesson for the future, illustrating that his players can ill-afford to become complacent.
The Hucknall boss said: "We were cruising, but you can't afford to do that and within ten minutes of being 3-0 up, it was back to 3-3.
"Those things can cost you and hopefully it is something that we now won't do again, having been stung once."
The Yellows are in action again on Monday as Stocksbridge Park Steels visit Watnall Road.
"It's been a good week so far and if we can get something from the weekend games it will keep it going nicely," said Brookbanks.
"We never said we were going to go out and win the league this season, but we said we would try to get in the top ten and that is still very much the aim.
"We got 275 for our first home against Ossett with them not bringing many, so it would be great to get that kind of support again on Bank Holiday Monday."
Defender Wayne Diuk is making good progress on his return from Achilles trouble. He is unlikely to be in contention against Northwich but could be considered against Stocksbridge.
The Yellows were last night granted planning permission for their new stadium off Aerial way, opposite the existing ground, at the meeting of Ashfield District Council.
