Veiling is urged by other faiths

ISLAM has always suffered from many false charges against it due to the misunderstanding of its true teachings.

One example of this is the widespread false notion that Islam in general deprives women of their rights and forces them to go behind the veil.

The Islamic veil is condemned by non-Muslims and regarded as a sign of backwardness and a thing of the past which is no longer practical in the daily way of life today.

They think that it is a burden and a restriction which has been imposed on Muslim women to deprive them of their freedom.

But if one looks with a deeper glance on this subject, it will be found that the veiling of women is not something that Islam has invented.

The previous revealed scriptures also contained some traces of similar teachings. To dress modestly and cover heads is also found in other faiths like Judaism and Christianity.

Some Muslim women have observed the teachings of Islam in such a manner that they have put on themselves some burdens that Islam did not prescribe and, by so doing, they became a cause for more rebellion against the Islamic veil and they pushed the non-Muslims farther away from seeing the beauties of Islam.

The Holy Quran verse (24:32) directs the believing women to restrain their eyes when they happen to face men and to guard their chastity.

In other ways it teaches modesty and advises men to restrain their looks.

So, it is clear that both men and women share equally the responsibility of observing this injunction.

They should both restrain their looks when facing each other or, in other words, they should observe the veil of the eyes.

“I wonder how many Muslims are aware that their claim about the authenticity of the Quran is highly questionable?
The oldest Quran in existence was written 200 years after the death of Muhammad and the snippets of the early writings of the book lack grammatical markings that would indicate the meaning of the words.
The end result is that Muslims believe in a book about a religious belief, neither of which can be proved to be true, yet their level of indoctrination allows them to make extreme claims about the Quran and about Muhammad, and leads some to wear extreme clothing like the Burqa.”

The President seemed to hint that it was religious, when Farage says it is not.”

Sorry to be a pedant, but whilst Syria *is* a muslim majority country it has a *secular* constitution.”

    “@No Burka's please
And here is another, from "The Noble Qur'an":
"... and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like palms of hands or one eye or both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer dress like veil, gloves, head-cover, apron, etc.), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms, etc.) ...".
Some translations of the Koran are intended for Western eyes.”

“The vast majority of Muslims, including Islamic scholars agree that it is not a religious necessity for a woman to cover her face, and there have even been restrictions placed on its use in some Muslim-majority countries. There are many different reasons why it should be banned from use in certain places, e.g., banks, schools, the workplace, public transport, airports etc, and ,of course, any such ban should apply regardless of the religion of the wearer.
Once the cold weather gets here, I'll be digging out my old balaclava, to see how many times I get told to remove it.”

“If an MP wishes to talk face to face with a constituent then he/she should, in the same way if I were to walk into a bank wearing a crash helmet I wouldn't be served and could even get myself into a spot of bother. This argument over the veil needs to move away from so called "discrimination" and to the fact that visiting certain places (banks, doctors, MP's, etc) SHOULD require you to show your face.
After all this is what happens at immigration at airports for all....... is it?”

“Muslims countries have even banned it so the arguement is finished. If muslim countries can't even justify it then their is no point.”
